Galloway Woman Hospitalized With Leg Injuries Following Accident at White Horse Pike and Garden State Parkway

Elen Rustamova-Alcanta's car collided with another car after making an unsafe lane change Tuesday morning.

A Galloway woman was hospitalized with unspecified leg injuries following an accident on the White Horse Pike by the Garde State Parkway Tuesday morning, Feb. 26, according to Galloway Township Police.

Elen Rustamova-Alcanta, 44, was driving a Kia Rio east on the White Horse Pike when police say she made an unsafe lane change and collided with a Dodge Van being driven by Gary Erario, also 44, of Galloway.

Rumstamova-Alcanta's vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole, police said. As a result, the White Horse Pike was closed for 30 minutes, according to police. Atlantic City Electric responded to the scene and completed repairs to the utility pole.

Rumstamova-Alcanta was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division by Galloway EMS to be treated for leg injuries, police said.

Rumstamova-Alcanta was issued a summons for careless driving.
