Nightmares Haunted Man Who Killed Galloway Teenager in 1990

Steven Goff confessed to the killing on Monday.

Nightmares haunted a Ventnor man, driving him to according to the man's best friend.

Steven Goff, 41, was haunted by visions of Frederick Hart's mother, Goff's best friend told The Associated Press on Wednesday, April 3.

Goff was 18 when he allegedly murdered Hart, then 15, by stabbing him multiple times. Goff surrendered to Galloway Township Police on Monday, April 1, 23 years after the murder took place.

Hart was a freshman at Absegami High School when he was killed in May of 1990. His body was discovered in the woods behind the Clubs Condominiums in December of 1991. 

According to Goff's best friend, Goff was "tortured by what he had done." On Friday, he told him he was about to do something that would "shock the world."
