One Dead Following Single-Car Crash on White Horse Pike

A car overturned after hitting the middle barrier. One person was ejected and died on the scene.

One man was pronounced dead following a single-car crash on the White Horse Pike in the area of Delilah Road in Absecon Saturday night.

Absecon Police responded to the crash around 10:07 p.m. It appears the vehicle struck the center barrier, overturned, and came to rest on its roof. One of the occupants of the vehicle was ejected and due to his injuries was pronounced dead at the scene. The other occupant of the vehicle was treated and transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Campus.

Eastbound traffic on the White Horse Pike was closed for approximately seven hours. On scene the police department was assisted by Absecon EMS, the Absecon Fire Department, Exceptional EMS, and the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Fatal Crash Unit. The Pleasantville and Galloway police departments, the New Jersey State Department of Transportation and the Absecon Fire Department also assisted with traffic control.
