Power Fully Restored in Galloway Township Following Equipment Failure Monday Morning

Over 2,000 were left without power for an hour.

A power outage that left over 2,000 Atlantic City Electric customers without power in Galloway Township was the result of an equipment failure on the part of the electric company, Atlantic City Electric representatives said early Monday afternoon, Feb. 6.

Power has been fully restored, and customers were left without power for an hour this morning, representatives of the electric company said.

Representatives did not go into the specifics of the equipment failure or its cause. It took place around 11 a.m., and power was fully restored by 12:08 p.m.

Earlier today, the Atlantic City Electric Power Outages Map reflected a loss of power for 2,006 customers in the township. Initially, it was believed the outage took place in the Pomona section of the township, but thelater reported the outage took place in a different area of the township.
