Pedestrian Dead Following Single Car Crash Sunday Night

A 57-year-old Atlantic City man was killed while attempting to cross Route 30 in the area of Haddon Avenue Sunday night.

A 57-year-old Atlantic City man was pronounced dead after being hit while attempting to cross Route 30 Sunday night, according to Absecon Police.

The unidentified man was hit when he ran in front of traffic while attempting to cross Route 30 in the area of Haddon Avenue around 6:48 p.m. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver, an 18-year-old Galloway man, was transported by Absecon EMS to the Atlanticare Regional Medical Center Mainland Campus for treatment.

White Horse Pike eastbound traffic was closed for approximately two hours.

On scene the police department was assisted by the Absecon Fire Department, the Galloway Police Department, New Jersey State Department of Transportation and the Absecon Fire Department.
