UPDATED: Police Arrest Man, Woman in Possession of Gun, Heroin
It was the second time in three days Galloway Police made a weapons-related arrest.
A man and a woman from Egg Harbor Township were arrested on the Galloway/Absecon border for possession of a handgun and heroin on Monday afternoon, July 16, Galloway Township Police announced on Tuesday.
Robert Terrell, 28, and Gabrielle J. Bozzi, 22, were stopped by Galloway Officer Jacqueline Crocker for not wearing seatbelts on Route 30 at 1:46 Monday afternoon, police said.
After Bozzi, the driver, was found to have be driving on a suspended license due to outstanding traffic issues from Ocean City, and Terrell was found to be wanted by the state on a parole violation, officers on the scene observed a handgun in the car, police said.

Crocker and Officer Paul Smith, who had responded to the scene to assist, discovered a loaded .32 caliber revolver, according to police. Terrell, aka Abdul Rasheed, was also found to be lying about his identity, police said.
The officers also discovered heroin and $934 in cash in the car.

Terrell and Bozzi were both charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of CDS and hindering apprehension.
Terrell was also charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and not wearing a seatbelt. His bail was set at $50,000 cash.
Bozzi was also charged with motor vehicle offenses, including improper use of child restraints, driving while suspended and CDS in a motor vehicle. Her bail was set at $15,000 cash.
Both were transported to the Atlantic County Justice Facility, police said.
It was the second time in three days Galloway Police arrested a man for weapons possession. On Saturday night, police arrested a and charged him with armed robbery, multiple weapons charges and a possesion of CDS charge for possessing heroin.
"It comes with increased calls and officers continuing to be proactive," Galloway Police Chief Patrick Moran said. "It comes with the summer time and getting more calls for service. Our officers are just coming across more stuff."
