Police Blotter Includes Multiple-Person CDS Arrest

Four Galloway adults and an underage girl were arrested for various drug offenses.

Information for the Galloway Township Police Blotter for the dates May 9-15, 2011 has been supplied by local law enforcement agencies. All persons named are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

The Galloway Township Police Department responded to 730 calls for service. Of those calls, 76 were emergency medical calls, 19 were fire calls, 10 were domestic violence calls, and 17 were motor vehicle accidents. There were also three reported burglaries, 33 total arrests were made, including two DWI arrests, and 70 tickets were issued.

Residential burglaries were reported on West White Horse Pike, South Philadelphia Avenue and Bally Bunion Drive. One vehicle was stolen on Federal Court, and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from Perry’s Tavern at 343 East White Horse Pike.

* Justin A. Zelenak, 24, of Atlantic City, was arrested by Ptl. Bryan Casey on May 9 for hindering apprehension. He was released on a summons.

* Robert A. Vaino Jr., 35, of Egg Harbor Twp., was arrested by Ptl. Vincent Ceci on May 10 for two charges of possession of CDS, possession of CDS paraphernalia, and hindering apprehension. He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on four outstanding warrants.

 * Bernadett J. Griess, 49, of Galloway, was arrested by Ptl. Scott Winneberger for DWI following a two-car accident on May 12. She was released on a summons.

* Robert H. Myers, 66, Margaret A. Myers, 52, Karen A. Coburn, 20, and Philip Boruch, 21, all of Galloway, were arrested for possession of CDS, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, and possession of CDS paraphernalia as a result of a cooperative effort by the Egg Harbor Twp. and Galloway Police Departments on May 12. In the same incident, a 17-year-old Galloway girl was charged with possession of CDS and paraphernalia. All were released on summonses.

* Eric A. Bates, 18, of Galloway, was arrested by Ptl. Robert Bauer on May 13 for DWI. Passenger Eric W. Hakanson,18, of Brigantine, was charged by Ptl. Robert Bauer with underage consumption of alcohol in the same incident. They were released on summonses.

* Morgan A. Jones, 22, of Galloway, was arrested by Ptl. Raymond Glick for aggravated assault, resisting arrest and obstructing the administration of law on May 13. He was released on a summons.

* Claudio R. Banto, 43, of Absecon, was arrested by Ptl. Andrew Silipino on May 14 for possession of CDS, possession of CDS paraphernalia, and hindering apprehension. He was released on a summons.

* Keith I. Campbell, 44, of Egg Harbor, was arrested by Ptl. Bryan Casey on May 14 for two counts of possession of CDS and possession of CDS with intent to distribute. He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility in default of $5,000 full bail.

* Laron Wright, 18, of Galloway, was arrested by Ptl. Gary Brenner on May 15 for theft. He was released on a summons.

* Terrence M. Tolbert, 27, of Atlantic City, was arrested by Ptl. Vincent Ceci on May 15 for two counts of possession of CDS, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, and possession of CDS paraphernalia. He was released on a summons.
