Police Blotter Includes Possession of CDS, Hindering Apprehension

Information for the Galloway Township Police Blotter for the dates Feb. 28-March 6, 2011, has been supplied by local law enforcement agencies. All persons named are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

The Galloway Township Police Department responded to 635 calls for service. Of those calls, 65 were emergency medical calls, 11 were fire calls, four were domestic violence calls and 19 were motor vehicle accidents. There was also one reported burglary, 18 total arrests were made, including one DWI arrest, and 59 tickets were issued.

The reported burglary took place on South New York Road.

* Zachariah Mays, 20, of Atlantic City, was arrested by Ptl. Dan Weigle on Feb. 28 for possession of CDS and possession of CDS with intent to distribute. He was released on a summons.

* Joseph McCarten, 44, of Galloway, was arrested by Ptl. Andrew Dare on March 2 for resisting arrest and improper behavior. He was released on a summons.

* Francesco Genova, 36, of Absecon, was arrested by Ptl. Hiram Melendez on March 3 for disorderly conduct. He was released on a summons.

* Frederick J. O’Reilly, 56, of Atlantic City, was arrested by Ptl. Andrew Silipino on March 5 for hindering apprehension and on four outstanding warrants. He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $10,000 bail.

* Elyssa Angerame, 24, of Toms River, was arrested by Ptl. Scott Winneberger on March 5 for hindering apprehension. She was released on a summons.

* Christopher M. Smith, 35, of Tobyhanna, PA, was arrested by Ptl. Ryan Goehringer on March 6 for DWI. He was released on a summons.
