Police Blotter Includes Several CDS Arrests

The following arrest information was provided by the Galloway Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Information for the Galloway Township Police Blotter for the dates July 18-24, 2011 has been supplied by local law enforcement agencies. All persons named are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

The Galloway Township Police Department responded to 992 calls for service. Of those calls, 86 were Emergency Medical Calls, 22 were Fire Calls, 12 were Domestic Violence Calls, and 18 were Motor Vehicle Accidents. There were also seven reported burglaries, 34 total arrests were made and 134 tickets were issued.

Two residential burglaries were reported on July 19, on St. Joseph Avenue and South Nectar Avenue. Two vehicle burglaries were reported a day earlier, on July 18, on Sussex Place and Colonial Court.

Three commercial burglaries were reported during this period. On July 18, the Blue Heron Pines maintenance building at 527 South Odessa Avenue reported a burglary. On July 19 at the Comfort Inn at 202 East White Horse Pike, a burglary was reported. On July 23, the Blue Heron Pines East at 600 South Odessa Avenue reported a burglary.

* Yusef J. Long, 26, of Galloway, was arrested by Ptl. Ryan Goehringer on July 19 for possession of CDS. He was released on a summons.

* Zachary M. Geckeler, 18, of Galloway was arrested by Ptl. Hiram Melendez on July 21 for hindering apprehension. He was released on a summons.

* Paul Jackson II, 28, of Pleasantville, was arrested by Ptl. Bryan Casey on July 22 for possession of CDS and paraphernalia. He was released on a summons.

* Willi Hatch Jr, 41, of Bridgeton, was arrested by Ptl. Bryan Casey on July 22 for obstructing the administration of law. He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on an outstanding warrant.

* Francisco R. Ortiz, 20, of Galloway, was arrested by Ptl. Scott Winneberger on July 23 for two counts of possession of CDS, possession of CDS paraphernalia, possession of CDS with intent to distribute and underage possession of alcohol . He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $20,000 full bail.

* Eldwin Colon Jr, 26, of Egg Harbor Twp., was arrested by Ptl. William Schroer on July 23 for possession of CDS. He was released on a summons.

* Cory T. Kott, 21, of Northfield, was arrested by Det. Ro Latoracca on July 23 for receiving stolen property. He was served a summons in the Atlantic County Justice Facility, where he was already lodged.

* Sean J. Jones, 35, of Pleasantville, was arrested by Ptl. Andrew Silipino on July 24 for possession of CDS. He was released on a summons.

* A 17-year-old Galloway boy was charged by Ptl. Steven Vernon with burglary, theft, and receiving stolen property on July 18. He was released on a summons.

* A 16-year-old Galloway boy was charged by Det. John Kelly for robbery and unlawful possession of a weapon (knife) on July 18. He was lodged in Harborfields.

* Five Galloway boys were charged by Cpl. Gerald Houck with obstructing the administration of justice on July 18. They were released on summonses.

* A 17-year-old Galloway boy was charged by Ptl. Vincent Ceci with possession of CDS and CDS paraphernalia on July 19. He was released on a summons.
