Police Blotter Includes Shoplifting, Possession and Assault

A few theft and DWI arrests were also made.

Information for the Galloway Township Police Blotter for the dates Sept. 26-Oct. 2, 2011 has been supplied by local law enforcement agencies. All persons named are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

The Galloway Township Police Department responded to 1,039 calls for service. Of those calls, 90 were Emergency Medical Calls, 11 were Fire Calls, 13 were Domestic Violence Calls, and 16 were Motor Vehicle Accidents. There were also four reported burglaries, 39 total arrests were made, including three D.W.I. arrests, and 95 tickets were issued.

* A residential burglary was reported on Sept. 26 on West White Horse Pike, and a vehicle burglary was reported on Sept. 29 on South New York Road.

* On Sept. 24, an unknown person broke into The Salon at 401 West White Horse Pike and attempted to access the ATM machine, but nothing was taken.

* On Sept. 26, only personal items were taken in connection with a burglary at the maintenance shed at Galloway National Golf Club at 270 South New York Road.

* Anthony D. Autuori, 25, of Morton, PA, was arrested by Detective John Kelly on Sept. 26 for burglary to a vehicle and theft following an investigation into an incident on Sept. 12, 2011. He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $25,000 full bail. Related to the same incident, Andrea Hoholick, 20, of Barnegat, was arrested for attempted fraudulent use of a credit card. She was released on a summons.

* Shawn M. Caravelli, 44, of Egg Harbor, was arrested by Ptl. Jason Kiamos on Sept. 26 for shoplifting from the Wawa at Rt. 30 and 5th Ave. He was released on a summons.

* Brian Thomas Parker, 28, and Justin R. Angier, 22, both males of Galloway, were arrested by Ptl. Jacqueline Crocker on Sept. 26 for obtaining CDS by fraud. Parker was also charged with possession of CDS and possession of CDS with intent to distribute. He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $30,000 full bail.  Angier was released on a summons.

* Brandon L. Diaz, 28, of Vineland, was arrested by Ptl. Kevin Costa on Sept. 26 for DWI. He was released on a summons. 

* Louis S. Kerekes Jr., 22, of Hamilton Township, and Marcus Debow, 24, of Mullica, were arrested by Ptl. Jacqueline Crocker on Sept. 27 for possession of CDS paraphernalia.  Kerekes was also charged with DWI. They were released on summonses.

* Paul R. Grandison Jr., 46, of Galloway was arrested by Ptl. Paul Smith on Sept. 27 for DWI, obstruction and resisting arrest. He was released on a summons.

* Jason W. Newsome, 29, of Egg Harbor, was arrested by Ptl. Ryan Goehringer on Sept. 27 for possession of CDS. He was released on a summons.

* Jeffrey Gonzalez, 23, of Atlantic City, was arrested by Ptl. William Kline on Sept. 28 for forgery and attempt to obtain CDS by forgery. He was released on a summons.

* Dontay M. Brooks, 18, of Galloway, was arrested by Ptl. Daniel Choe on Sept. 28 for possession of CDS. He was released on a summons.

* Avery S. Jackson, 24, of Queens, NY, was arrested by Ptl. Steven Vernon on Sept. 29 for forgery by altering and criminal attempt. He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $25,000 full bail.

* Tara A. Hamlin, 21, of Ocean City, was arrested by Ptl. Robert Bauer on Sept. 30 for improper behavior. She was released on a summons.

* Myles Cundiff, 20, of Pleasantville and Daniel Whitcraft, 19, of Pleasantville, were arrested by Ptl. Kevin Welsh on Sept. 30 for possession of CDS. They were released on summonses.

* Steven J. Smith, 39, and Derek Gibbons, 19, both males of Galloway, were arrested by Ptl. Ryan Goehringer on Oct. 2 for obstruction. Smith was also charged with resisting arrest. They were released on summonses.

* David B. Escobar, 44, of Mullica, was arrested by Ptl. Jacqueline Crocker on Oct. 2 for three counts of assault. He was released on a summons.
