Resident Aids in Finding Missing Galloway Woman

Karen Ryba was found Sunday morning after being reported missing Saturday night.

A woman who was reported missing on Saturday has been found unharmed with the aid of a resident, Galloway Police announced Tuesday morning.

On Saturday night, Galloway Police requested the public's assistance in finding Karen Ryba, 61. Ryba has dementia and walked away from her home. Police searched for her that night using K-9 cops and bloodhounds, but were unable to find her.

Patrols were able to find Ryba shortly after and return her home. Ryba was unharmed and received the care she needed.

The Police Department would like to thank the over 7,600  citizens that logged in to view the missing person report on Ryba and reiterate how successful social media has been in solving cases such as these and keeping the community informed and safe.
