Special Olympics Torch Will Stop at Stockton College

The Jersey Shore leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics will visit Wildwood, Atlantic City and The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey on Thursday, June 12, two days before the USA Games begin in Newark.

The torch run will start at the Wildwoods Convention Center at 7:53 am, and continue to Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall at 9:35 am, before arriving at Stockton.

Three simultaneous routes through the tristate area make up the "Final Leg" of the Torch run, Fifty-two law enforcement representatives and six Special Olympics athletes from throughout the United States will carry the Special Olympics' "Flame of Hope," which will be used to light the cauldron at Opening Ceremony of the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games at Prudential Center in Newark on June 15.

The public can attend the torch run at the Richard Stockton College Campus Center, 101 Vera King Farris Drive, on June 12 at 10:40 am.
