Two Hospitalized After Two Cars Collide Head-On

They were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division with non-life threatening injuries.

Two people were transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division following a head-on car crash on Great Creek Road Saturday afternoon, Feb. 16, Galloway Township Police said.

Gerald Connelly, 29, of Egg Harbor Township, was traveling east on Great Creek Road in a 2005 Chevy Colorado when he when he left his lane and collided head-on with James DiNatale, 27, of Mays Landing, police said.

DiNatale was driving a 2011 Chevy Silverado westbound, and was carrying one passenger, Peter Boruch, 25, of Somers Point. Boruch was treated and released on the scene, according to police.

Connelly was extricated from his car by Bayville volunteer firefighters, police said. Both drivers were taken to the hospital and the road was closed for two hours, police said.
