Deadline Passes for Former Manager to Request Public Hearing

Roger Tees had until midnight Thursday night to request a public hearing after being released by the township earlier this year.

According to Acting Township Manager Steve Bonanni, former Galloway Township Manager Roger Tees hasn't filed a request seeking a public hearing following his release from his position earlier this year.

The deadline for Tees to file for a public hearing was midnight Thursday. Bonanni stated that had such a request been filed, his office would've been notified. Galloway Township Solicitor Michael Blee, who would also be notified, was unavailable Friday morning.

Tees was released from his position on Jan. 25 of this year, after serving less than a year in office, for performance-related issues.

In accordance with the Faulkner Act, Tees was suspended for 30 days, until a final resolution could be passed. He also had the option of requesting a public hearing on the council’s decision, to be held no earlier than 20 days and no later than 30 days beyond his request.

Public Works Director Steve Bonanni has served as acting township manager since Jan. 25, and a search for a new township manager is not yet underway.
