"We were briefed on the impressive approaches each respective facility is taking to enhance patient services and build upon their future plans to address the specific medical needs of the surrounding area’s population," the members of the 9th District delegation said in a statement on Wednesday.

"In these difficult economic times, government needs to be more of a working partner with health care facilities, rather than just an inflexible regulatory entity, in order to enhance accessibility to the health care services that residents can depend on and afford. Recognizing the importance of this critical issue, our delegation intends to work closely with AtlantiCare and the Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation by relying on the expertise of their staff to more effectively address health care issues affecting our area.”
