Five Things Happening This Week

Sports, religious gatherings, and meetings this week.

This week begins with a Turnpike Authority public meeting that was rescheduled from its original date last Wednesday and with a Galloway Township Board of Education meeting.

Here are five things happening this week:

Why go? To learn more about proposed changes that could affect access to a rest stop in Galloway. The meeting was originally scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 22, but the date change was announced last Monday, to the .

2. Board of Education Meeting

When/where: Starting at 7 p.m. at the on Monday, Aug. 27.

Why go? To keep abreast of things going on in the school district, or to speak your mind about a topic.

When/where: 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at , 328 E. Great Creek Road. This week's worship was canceled, but another will take place on Sept. 5.

Why go? If you want to participate in a midweek worship, the service will include readings, meditation and communion.

Why go? Because you can't wait for the football season to begin and you want a preview of Absegami's football team before they start in the .
