Five Things You Need To Know About Tuesday's Council Meeting

The following five bits of information were discussed Tuesday night when the Galloway Township Council convened at the municipal complex.

1.     Council unanimously approved a resolution to amend the budget for insertion of a special item of revenue and appropriation to include a Grant for an Over the Limit, Under Arrest grant in the amount of $4,400.

2.     Council unanimously approved a resolution authorizing an application for Safe and Secure Communities Program in the amount of $52,477, to be administered by the Division of Criminal Justice and Public Safety.

3.     Township Manager Steve Bonanni, Councilwoman Whitney Ullman and Chief Financial Officer Jill Gougher were appointed to the Galloway Township Board of Assessment Commissioners at Tuesday night’s meeting.

4.     The Galloway Township Police Department Honor Guard will hold a coin drop at the intersection of Jimmie Leeds Road and Pitney Road on Oct. 8 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

5.     There will be a national moment of remembrance at 1 p.m. on Sept. 11, 2011 in honor of the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Galloway council approved the resolution, which had already been passed by the U.S. Senate.
