Galloway Native Recognized for Bravery in Afghanistan

Master Sgt. Michael Sears was recognized with a silver star for saving a soldier life's during a firefight in Afghanistan in 2012, the Press of Atlantic City reports.

A Galloway native has earned the nation's third highest honor for his bravery displayed in Afghanistan, The Press of Atlantic City reports.

Master Sgt. Michael Sears saved a soldier's life during a firefight while serving in Afghanistan on Sept. 29, 2012. The 1994 Absegami High School graduate was recognized with the Silver Star on Saturday, according to the report.
