Galloway Township Mayor Gets Head Start Appointing Committees
Don Purdy appointed committees to handle ratables and grants.
Galloway Township's reorganization meeting takes place after Jan. 1, but Mayor Don Purdy wasn't going to wait that long to begin appointing committees.
Purdy, who was appointed mayor at the council's last meeting, appointed a committee to handle attracting commercial ratables to the township and a committee to analyze grants for projects at the council meeting on Tuesday night, Nov. 22.
Purdy appointed Deputy Mayor Tony Coppola, councilmen Jim Gorman and Brian Tyrrell and resident Jim Cox to the committee to attract commercial ratables. Township Planner Tiffany Cuviello will act as a coordinator within the township to help guide the new committee to areas in need of commercial development.

A committee consisting of Tyrrell, Gorman, councilwoman Whitney Ullman and resident Linda McDevitt was appointed to look into grants.
