Go Green Galloway Collecting Business Recycling Information by March 1

Representatives are also visiting township businesses with a green business checklist.

It’s time for Galloway Township businesses to report their recycling practices for last year, the Go Green Galloway Task Force for Sustainability announced on Friday, Jan. 11.

Each business owner and operator is responsible for removing his or her own recyclables. Records must also be kept, so that results can be reported “in a timely manner,” according to the Task Force.

Letters have been mailed out to businesses in the township, and responses are due by March 1, according to the Task Force.

Those who didn’t receive a letter are asked to contact Barbara Fiedler at bfiedler@gallowaytwp-nj.gov or 652-3700 x209.

Members of the Task Force are joining with members of the Galloway Mother’s Club in visiting businesses with a checklist. Businesses who receive a certain number of points on the checklist become eligible to be designated as a Galloway Green Business. Those who achieve this designation will receive a window sticker and will be recognized on Galloway’s new website.
