Mini Grants Available for Galloway Residents Looking to Create Wildlife Friendly Environment

They're part of a larger $10,000 grant recently obtained by the township.

Thirty mini-grants are available to Galloway Township residents concerned with creating a more wildlife friendly environment within the township, the Go Green Galloway Taskforce for Sustainability announced on Friday, Jan. 11.

The mini-grants, worth $125 each, are part of a larger $10,000 grant awarded to the township through the Sustainable Jersey Small Grants Program funded by PSEG.

Those who fulfill the requirements of the mini-grant by this fall will be reimbursed up to $125 for the purchase of plant material, according to the task force. Additionally, those who meet the requirements of Sustainable Landscaping Caretaker and Sustainable Landscape Steward will receive plaques, and five of the participating properties will be featured in various local publications and will be part of Go Green Galloway’s Sustainable Landscape Tour.
