The grant came from the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey.

is $15,000 closer to bringing an installation to the Atlantic City Rescue Mission.

The Noyes Museum was one of 19 nonprofit organizations across the state to receive $342,500 in grants from the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey, the foundation announced this week. The grants are designed to help the nonprofits "undertake important programs and futher their charitable missions," the foundation said in a release.

Noyes received a $15,000 grant to support Finding Home, a project it works on in collaboration with the Atlantic City Rescue Mission homeless shelter and artist Seth Camm.

The project will help the museum set up a permanent outside installation at the Mission, using art as a therapeutic and unifying tool.

"Seth has worked among the homeless since the 1990's," Noyes Museum of Art Director of Development and Communications Sara Gendlik said. "We're working on a permanent installation outdoors with Seth. He'll help make an impression that lasts."

The muesum's goal is to have the installation ready to go for next spring.

"We've been planning this for a year, and now that we have the funding, we can do what we want," Gendlik said.

It wants to capture the process via a multimedia documentary, which will be the subject of vieiwings at the museum. The museum will also host an exhibition of Camm's portraits.

"We have a lot of programming this fall," Gendlik said. "We're going to have a panel discussion and an artists' talk. We'll have a lot."
