Week in Review: 'No Child Left Behind' Waiver, Casino Name Change

A weekly recap of the past week's news.

This week we saw some changes to New Jersey schools, reported a lot of police action in the township, and much more. Here are some highlights from the past week:

On Monday, we continued posting financial tips by Jeff Jones, this time with tips for fortysomethings, we reported an alleged drunk driving incident, described a local music nonprofit, looked at some of the strangest police stories from around New Jersey and saw the power get turned back on.

On Tuesday, we reported a DWI charge, posted a police blotter, watched some Absegami High School wrestling and saw the Hilton Casino change its name.

On Wednesday, we discussed the superintendent's advisory team's first meeting, took a look at who attended the meeting, pondered some of the ideas that came out of the meeting, discussed retirement in (or, out of, rather) New Jersey and saw the township clerk work for a bit longer than expected.

On Thursday, we saw the Atlanticare Regional Medical Center's EMS receive an uncommon accreditation, issued a warning about scams from the Galloway Township Police, saw some businesses network and saw NJ be released from the No Child Left Behind Law as well as Gov. Chris Christie's reaction.
