Absegami Wrestling Team Falls to Howell High School

Howell sends the Braves to a 12-8 record with a 42-18 defeat.

The Absegami High School wrestling team lost a meet to Howell, 42-18, on Thursday night in a nonleague match that was closer than the final score indicates.

Howell, who qualified as the No. 3 seed in the NJSIAA Group IV Central playoffs next week, won nine of the 14 bouts, but two were by forfeit.

The Braves, who don't usually have a 103-pound wrestler in the lineup, were also without Anthony Tamberelli, who is out with a shoulder injury.
