Become a "Citizen Leader in Sustainability" Workshop

Come to the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the South Jersey Shore in Galloway Township on Wednesday, August 8 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm to learn how to become a "Citizen Leader in Sustainability"!


Participants will learn about current best practices for creating a sustainable community at the development, neighborhood, and municipal level. You will also learn the tools and techniques to become effective and engaged local advocates for sustainable community design policies in your community.

Topics to be covered will include: mixed-use and walkable neighborhoods; energy conservation and renewable energy; water quality and conservation; stormwater management; historic preservation and preservation of natural areas.

Participants will also learn how to advocate for sustainable communities as a citizen journalist, appointed official, or citizen legislator.

FREE. Light refreshments will be served.
