Galloway and Absecon Residents Earn College Honors

This list reflects those honored for their fall semesters.

The following students were named to the Dean’s List at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) for the fall semester by earning a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher while carrying 12 or more credits:

Emily Culbertson, a Sophomore Art Education major and a resident of Absecon;

Andrew Edelblum, a Freshman Communication Studies major and a resident of Galloway;

Anthony Cocuzza, a Sophomore Open Option-Business major and a resident of Absecon;

Erica Keenan, a Senior English major and a resident of Galloway;

Elizabeth Wimberg, a Sophomore English major and a resident of Galloway;

Saagar Trivedi, a Senior History major and a resident of Galloway;

Micah Akerlind, a Junior Elementary Education major and a resident of Galloway;

Cortney Ziegler, a Senior Early Childhood major and a resident of Galloway;

Diane Iannacone, a Sophomore Special Education major and a resident of Galloway;

Hailey Marr, a Freshman Biology major and a resident of Galloway; and

Cody Combs, a Freshman Physics major and a resident of Absecon.

Additionally:

* Alexander Richard Piratzky, a Galloway resident majoring in History, has been named to the Dean's List at The Citadel by achieving a GPA of 3.2 or higher with no grade below a C for the previous semester's work;

* Donald Hill, a resident of Galloway who is majoring in Aviation Management, Flight, was among the students from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne who were named to the Dean's List for the fall semester by achieving 3.4 GPA while carrying 12 or more graded credits;

*Nickolas Palermo, a Global Communication major from Galloway, has been named to the Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. for the fall semester by achieving 3.4 GPA while carrying 12 or more graded credits;

* Kristy Rando, of Galloway, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at Delaware Valley College;

* Kelly Bird, a junior Chemistry major from Galloway, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at Washington College by achieving a 3.5 GPA or higher;

* Kathryn Wimberg, a senior Occupational Therapy major from Smithville, has been named to Alvernia University's Dean's List by achieving 3.4 GPA while carrying 12 or more graded credits;

* Colleen Dillon, a communication sciences and disorder major from Absecon, has been named to the president's list at James Madison University for the fall semester by achieving 3.9 GPA while carrying 12 or more graded credits;

* Olivia Sommers and Lauren N Manganiello, both of Galloway, were among 4,200 University of Rhode Island students named to the Dean's List for the fall semester;

* Courtney Rada of Galloway has been named to the University of Hartford’s Dean's List for the fall semester; and

* Kelly E. Crawford of Galloway, has been named to the McDaniel College fall semester Dean's List with High Honors. Highest honors are earned for a semester grade point average of 3.90 or higher, high honors for a grade point average of 3.70-3.89, and honors for a 3.50-3.69 average.
