Galloway School Districts Closed; Stockton College Opening Late

The speed limit on the Atlantic City Expressway has been reduced as salting takes place.

Both the Galloway Township and Greater Egg Harbor Regional school districts will be closed due to inclement weather as snow blankets Atlantic County on Monday.

The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and all instructional sites will open at noon, with classes commencing at 12:45 p.m., according to the college's website.

According to the National Weather Service, six inches of snow had fallen on Galloway Township as of 5:33 a.m. Estell Manor also saw six inches. There was an inch in Absecon and four inches in Mays Landing.

Atlantic County offices will open at 10 a.m.

The speed limit on the Atlantic City Expressway has been reduced to 35 miles an hour between the Atlantic City Convention Center and Route 42 in Washington Township, according to 511nj.org.

Both the expressway and the Atlantic City-Brigantine Connector were being salted early Monday morning.
