Galloway Schools and Stockton Cancel Friday Classes

A winter storm could leave as much as eight inches of snow overnight.

The threat of a winter storm that will bring snow, ice, wind and very cold temperatures led all Galloway schools to cancel classes for Friday, Jan. 3.

The Galloway Township School District (all elementary and intermediate schools) and the Greater Egg Harbor Regional School District (Absegami, Oakcrest and Cedar Creek high schools) posted cancellation notices on Thursday evening.

Assumption Regional in Galloway also will be closed on Friday.

The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey will be closed on Friday, Jan. 3.

Gov. Chris Christie placed New Jersey under a State of Emergency as of Thursday evening due to the coming snowstorm. All state offices will also be closed for non-essential employees on Friday.
