Galloway Township BOE Approves Baseball/Softball Schedule

The middle school teams open the season April 14 at home against Dennis Township.

The Galloway Township Board of Education approved the schedules for the middle school baseball and softball teams at its meeting this week.

Both teams open the season at home against Dennis Township on April 14. The season runs through May 26, when both teams host Somers Point in the regular season finale. The teams play at 10-game schedule, which includes five home games.

There nearly was no season for either team this year. The sports were cut last year due to budgetary reasons, but a group of parents banded together to put together a season. The parents will pay for the teams, and are currently attempting to raise $5,2225 by April 30 through a series of fundraisers.
