Portion of Vera King Farris Road to be Closed for Two Weeks

The road runs through the heart of the Stockton College campus. The road will be closed due to the installation of electrical lines.

A portion of Vera King Farris Drive, the road that runs through the heart of the campus of the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, will be closed for two weeks beginning Dec. 27, the college announced this week.

The road will be closed between Louisville Road and Oak Pond Lane near housing complexes 1, 4 and 5. The closure is due to the installation of electrical lines for the Unified Science Center, currently under construction.

Detours will be available. The college also provided the following instructions for entering the campus:

If entering the College from Jimmie Leeds Road, the detour will take traffic along Louisville Road into Parking Lot #7. Turn right into Parking Lot #6 and follow the road around to the Sports Center and Campus Center.

Access the main campus, Sports Center, PAC or Housing II and III from the Pomona Road entrance to the College will not be available during the construction.  Traffic will be required to detour around the College, by following Pomona Road (CR 575) north, to Duerer Street, (first stop sign/blinking yellow light). Make a left on Duerer Street and follow it to Jimmie Leeds Road (stop sign) and make a left on Jimmie Leeds Road to the College’s main entrance.  Follow signage to the main campus down Louisville Road.
