Roland Rogers Honors Artists, Poets and Rappers

The contest winners were recognized during Monday night's Board of Education meeting.

The winners of Roland Rogers Elementary School's Violence and Vandalism Awareness Week contests were recognized Monday night, Nov. 19 at the Galloway Township Board of Education meeting at the middle school.

There was a poster contest for students in fourth, fifth and sixth grades, and poem and rap/singing contests for students in fifth and sixth grades.

The first photo in the gallery depicts the winners of the poster contests. Winners were as follows:

Fourth Grade: Kameiko Rehinheimer, first place; Caelah Powers, second place; Aspen Mazzatta, third place; and Shelton Wilson, honorable mention.

Fifth Grade: Grace Vu, first place; Julianna Paduanni, second place; Jervon Burnett, third place; and Nia Robinson, honorable mention.

Sixth Grade: First place tie between Monica Jones and Athena Hall; Mason Cunningham, second place; Keara Cadavid, third place; and Nyjuan Joga, honorable mention.

The second photo in the gallery depicts the winners of the poetry contests. Winners were as follows:

Fifth Grade: David Bieniakowski, first place; Rodney McNeill, second place; and Andrew Mahieu, third place.

Sixth Grade: Kyra Mondragon, first place; Matthew Myles, second place; and Samantha Eloy, third place.

The final photo in the gallery depicts the winners of the rap/singing contests. Winners were as follows:

Fifth Grade: Andrea Brandt, first place; Christina Cruz, second place; Kenneth Murillo, third place; and Philip Schroer and Daniel Daley, honorable mentions.

Sixth Grade: Ayoube Ammari, first place; Irenonsen Eigbe, second place; Anna Chiola, third place; and Sanae Clapp, honorable mention.
