Roland Rogers Teacher Among the Final Four Contestants for $10,000 Grant

Third-grade teacher Terry Dougherty has successfully navigated through three rounds of competition, in which six teachers nationally have already been eliminated.

With just a couple of weeks left in the Great American Teach Off, third-grade teacher Terry Dougherty still has a chance to bring a $10,000 grant home to the Galloway Township School District.

Dougherty is one of the final four teachers nationwide still vying for the grant in the contest sponsored by GOOD, which has been running since the beginning of October.

Dougherty works with who relocate on a consistent basis and are currently in Galloway Township and the surrounding area.

Each week, the teachers are asked to answer a question via video on the contest's website good.is/gato. Members of the public then vote for their favorite videos, and each week, the two teachers with the least amount of responses are eliminated.

Those voting must register with the site, but may vote once a day every day.

This week's question: Show us a parent or peer endorsement.

The other three finalists in the contest are: Jane Franko-York, a fifth-grade teacher at Wilson Elementary School in Illinois; Sharon Reeve, a first-grade teacher at St. Mary's School in Missouri; and Chris Hoeh, a second-grade teacher at Cambridge Friends in Massachusetts.

As always, Dougherty's video response to this week's question is attached to this story.
