Stockton College Dedicates Hammonton Instructional Site

The site will be named for Charles and Lynn Kramer.

The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey's Board of Trustees recognized  a long time supporter by formally unveiling the design and name of a new instructional site that is set to open this coming January in Hammonton.

"It's going to be a soft opening," College President Dr. Herman J. Saatkamp, Jr. said, acknowledging that colleges generally don't open new instructional space during that time of year.

Nonetheless, this new instructional site, which will be located at 30 Front Street in Hammonton, will be known as Krramer Hall, after the owners of Kramer Beverage: Charles and Lynn Kramer.

Kramer Beverage  is a local family owned company that relocated to Hammonton in 2001 from the Egg Harbor Township-Pleasantville vicinity.

The company has been a strong supporter of Stockton events such as the annual Scholarship Gala and the Stockton Golf Classic. Kramer Beverage assists  in the building and nurturing community relationships on behalf of Stockton. In regards to the new instructional site in Hammonton, the Kramer family has agreed to provide $250,000.

School officials  further indicated that Charles Kramer has been a member of the Stockton College Foundation Board for more than 16 years and served as its Chair from 2007 to 2009.

Kramer has also been pivotal in making the Hammonton instructional site a reality; this includes providing $250,000 in funding for the site. Kramer said he felt it was important that he and his family play a role in the college's efforts.

"Hammonton is very important" to him and his family business in that the company moved its operations to Hammonton 11 years ago. He also noted that he saw an opportunity to give back to the community, and he took advantage of that.
