Stockton Homecoming 2012 Begins Thursday

Events are mostly free and open to the public.

It's Homecoming Weekend at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.

Festivites begin Thursday morning, Oct. 4, with the Career Fair and continue through Sunday, Oct. 7. Events are open to the public and mostly free.

Career Fair: 10 am – 2 p.m. in the Campus Center Events Room

Friday, Oct. 5

Float Decorating Party: 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in the North Parking Lot (across Vera King Farris Drive from Campus Police and Plant Management).

Stockton art Gallery Open: 12:30 – 7 p.m. in L-Wing; adjacent to the Performing Arts Center

Homecoming Parade: 4:30 p.m. Begins at Arts and Science Building Circle; ends at Housing 2/3 Quad

Pep Rally, Bonfire and Crowning of the Homecoming Queen and King: 5:30 p.m. at Housing 2/3 Quad. Rain location is the Stockton Sports Center

Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony (ticketed event through Stockton Athletics Office):  6 p.m. in the Campus Center Events Room

Greek God and Goddess Pageant sponsored by Tri Sigma Sorority: 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.  $5 in advance, $7 at the door, at Alton Auditorium.

Saturday, Oct. 6

Campus Center Bookstore open: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the Campus Center just off the Great Hall.

Alumni Breakfast and Annual Meeting: 10 a.m. in the Campus Center Meeting Room 5.

Parent and Family Association Reception and Brunch: 10:30 a.m. -11:30 a.m. in the Campus Center Event Room

Men’s Alumni Soccer Game: 11 a.m. on Field 4

Homecoming Carnival: 12 - 4 p.m. in Parking Lot 5.

Women’s Alumni Soccer Game: 12:30 p.m. on Field 4

Men’s Soccer vs. Montclair: 1 p.m. at G. Larry James Stadium

Women’s Field Hockey vs. William Paterson:  2 p.m. at Barlow turf field

Women’s Soccer vs. New Jersey City, 3 p.m. at G. Larry James Stadium

America’s Got (Wasted) Talent: Aging With Relevance, Not Rocking Chairs (Sponsored by Stockton Center on Successful Aging):  3 – 4 p.m. in the Campus Center Meeting Room 5

Delta Zeta’s 2nd Annual Walk for Juvenile Diabetes Research ($10 registration fee):  3 p.m. at G. Larry James Stadium
