Whiz Kid’s Keys to Awesomeness:

Katie Tsui is the recorder for the Galloway Township Middle School Student Council, meaning she attends all meetings and writes down the minutes. She converts it to written form in two days. It usually translates into a page or two.

She was the Student Council representative at the Galloway Township Board of Education’s meeting on Feb. 13, where she explained her role. She spoke briefly about the council’s Adopt-A-Bathroom initiative, in which students select a restroom at the school and ensure it does not get vandalized.

Tsui is in all advanced classes, including Geometry, Advanced Reading and Writing and Spanish I, while maintaining and A-B average.

She also plays the flute in the school band and some piano on the side. Her favorite piece is Felix Mendelssohn’s Rondo Capriccioso.

She also used to practice Martial Arts, achieving brown belt status, one belt away from black belt.
