Whiz Kid’s Keys to Awesomeness:

Robert Dicesare decided to run for Student Council President last year because he wanted to bring more fun events to Galloway Township Middle School. He won election for the position, and since then he has brought pep rallies, spirit days, clean ups and food drives.

“I want people to remember to give more than they receive,” Dicesare said. “A lot of people are homeless, and I want to help them, especially at this time of year. Thanksgiving’s coming and people have no money for food. And we do the clothes drives because the Atlantic City Rescue Mission is desperate for clothes and they’re always looking for donations.”

Dicesare presented the wreath during the township’s Veterans Day ceremony on Friday, Nov. 11. In addition to his duties as president, Dicesare enjoys playing baseball in the Galloway Township Athletic Association, as well as various other sports.

He describes himself as an A and B student, and said Social Studies is his favorite subject.

“It’s more interesting this year because it has to do with stuff that’s happening right now,” Dicesare said.

Dicesare is scheduled to appear as the student representative at tonight’s Galloway Township Board of Education meeting at the middle school, 7 p.m.
