BlueClaws Ready For Attendance Milestone

Could cross 5 million fan mark this homestand

Today marks the start of another stretch of home games for the Lakewood BlueClaws. By the time they finish their eight games over the next seven days, they should welcome their five millionth fan to FirstEnergy Park.

With four games against the Delmarva ShoreBirds there is plenty for all the fans in attendance to enjoy. The locals also will play four games against the HickoryCrawDads before heading into the break for the South Atlantic League All-Star Game down in Charleston.

The countdown to 5 million starts with 20,090 fans needing to come through the turnstiles when gates open tonight for a double-header. The first game starts at 6:05 p.m. on a Kids Eat Free day. Fans in attendance will also get free Twizzlerswhen they leave the game.

On Tuesday night, the first 2,000 fans will receive a BlueClaws umbrella on a night when the team plans to honor local Olympians and Olympic hopefuls. It is also a Senior Day Tuesday, and Chase and Derby from the Trenton Thunder will also be on hand to entertain that night.

Did you buy tickets to a BlueClaws game this year and not make it? The team will be hosting a ticket amnesty event on Wednesday where those unused tickets can be used for that game. The first 2,000 fans will also receive free trucker hats for coming to the game.

It will be another Thirsty Thursday at FirstEnergy Park, and the Claws will also welcome the Phillie Phanatic from the big league club. There also will be a Troop Supply Drive as part of Military Appreciation Night.

Friday night at the park means another fireworks display, but on Saturday a sharp-shooter will be in attendance. Wrestling Superstar Bret "The Hitman" Hart will be at the game signing autographs for fans from the man who called himself "the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be."

For those fans who will be spending Father's Day with the BlueClaws they can treat dad to a catch on the field after the game. It is also a kids eat free day at the park, and all players and coaches will be wearing gold shoelaces to help the Go4theGoal Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

After a four game set with Hagerstown following the break the BlueClaws will be home again on June 25 to kick off a four-game series with the West Virginia Power.
