Checking for Charity

Checking For Charity started as a bunch of hockey "has beens" and "men's leaguers" who rented the ice every Sunday. After the ice-time the guys would barbecue, drink a few beers and reminisce about the glory days.

As time went on a powerful network of friends began to form. When the proposition came up to organize a hockey tournament guys got on board.  When the concept morphed into giving all the funds to charity the hockey guys concurred.

Guys started volunteering to help out, and soon the whole idea just started to take off. Professionals such as lawyers, bankers, and everything in between started offering their services for free just to be a part of the creation of something special.

Not only has the volunteer base been growing since, but the scope of possibility surrounding what Checking For Charity is all about is growing as well. The idea went from being some little tournament to something bigger, something that feels a little bit more exciting. Checking For Charity has become a movement; one that is spreading.
