The Stockton College Golf Classic

 The Stockton College Golf Classic will take place Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club.

All proceeds of the event benefit The Richard Stockton Foundation and provide scholarships for deserving students. This year, LPGA Professional Laura Diaz and her coach and father, PGA Professional Ron Philo, Sr. will put on a golf clinic prior to the tournament.  “What a great opportunity – to play with one of the premiere women golfers on the LPGA tour,” remarks Anthony J. Coppola, Sr., Chair of The Richard Stockton Foundation.

Local philanthropists, Jack and Bethanie Gorny, are serving as Chairs for the Golf Classic.  Jack Gorny had the chance to play with Diaz during the Pro-Am of the ShopRite LPGA Classic and said, “Nobody should miss the opportunity to meet her and learn about golf from her.  It could shave a few strokes from your score.

”A foursome for the event is $800 which includes 18 holes of golf on one of the nation’s most scenic and unique courses, the golf clinic, lunch and dinner.  Individual golf is $225 per person.  Dinner alone is $75 per person.  “The scramble format and prizes for every golfer make this tournament fun for everyone with supporting New Jersey’s Distinctive Public College,” said Bethany Gorny.

Presenting sponsor for the event is MCFA Infrastructure and Energy; Tournament sponsor is Pennoni Associates, Inc.
