Five Things You Need to Know

A look at the upcoming week in Absegami High School sports.

1. The Absegami High School baseball team has a busy week ahead. The Braves, who were scheduled to take on Egg Harbor Township today, will take part in the Al Hedelt Tournament today. A win would mean more games on Sunday.
Absegami also is at CAL power St. Augustine Prep on April 13 and hosts
Atlantic City on April 15.

2. The Absegami softball team, which is coming off a win over Millville, plays at least five games in six days. The Braves will be at Lower Cape May on April 11 and at Holy Spirit on April 12. After a day off Absegami hosts Egg Harbor Township on April 14 and travels to Atlantic City on April 15. The weekend won't be for rest as the Braves are scheduled to take part in the Overbrook Tournament.

3. Saturday is a big track day in the spring, and this weekend marks the first big meets of the season. The boys will be at the Moorestown Relays, and the girls will be in West Deptford. Both squads will be in action again on April 13, taking on Egg Harbor Township and Ocean City in a tri-meet.

4. There isn't a lot of practice time for Absegami tennis this week. The Absegami boys play three consecutive matches starting Monday and finish out the week with a match on April 15. The Braves take on CAL power Mainland at home on April 11 and host Lower Cape May on April 12. Absegami then busses to Ocean City on April 13. The Braves host Atlantic City on April 15.

5. The Absegami girls lacrosse team hosts CAL foe Ocean City on April 11 while the boys travel to Ocean City. The boys have a tough test on April 13, taking on Lenape. The girls host Our Lady of Mercy on Thursday.
