Galloway Spring Football Team Improves to 2-0

Galloway beat Gloucester, 22-6, last Saturday.

Galloway Township is 2-0 in its first season of competition in the Delaware Valley Spring Football League following a 22-6 victory over Gloucester Township last Saturday, April 20, in Pennsauken.

Dylan Scaranda scored two touchdowns for Galloway, one rushing and one receiving.

The first score came in the first half of action, on a pass from QB Jesse Milza to Christian Ayer. A Pat Moran two-point conversion made the score 8-0.

Gloucester pulled to within two points when it scored a touchdown on a sweep to the left before halftime.

Scaranda's two scores came in the second half, first on a fourth-down goal-line plunge and then on a reception from QB Steve Waszen. Moran added another two-point conversion for the final tally.

Tyshan Roary and Reggie Charles led Galloway's ground attack.

Defensively, Kevin Watson harassed the Gloucester backfield throughout the course of the afternoon and Jerry Fuller and Eric "Action" Jackson anchored a dominant line.

Galloway has allowed just 12 points in its two victories. The team travels to Camden to face the South Jersey Pride on Saturday, April 27, 11 a.m.
