Joanna Coe Competing in LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament

The Oakcrest graduate was tied for 37th place after two days of competition.

Oakcrest High School graduate and local favorite Joanna Coe entered the day tied for 37th place at the final LPGA Qualifying Tournament on the Champions and Legends Course at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, FL.

The top finishers in the tournament, which began Wednesday and concludes on Sunday, receive LPGA memberships, and all others who make the cut receive LPGA Futures Tour dates.

After two rounds, Coe was tied for 37th place.

The Mays Landing native made her professional debut at this year's ShopRite LPGA Classic at the Seaview in May. Coe played college golf at Rollins College in Florida, and was an NCAA Division II all-American and Academic all-American selection from 2008-2011. She was an individual National Champion in 2008.

She qualified for the U.S. Women's Open this year.
