Stockton Senior Realizes Milestone
Kai Massaquoi hit his 1,000th point in the Ospreys' win on Monday.
With two free throws early in the second half, Kai Massaquoi registered his 1,000th career point in the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey's 79-53 win over Messiah College at the John Hopkins Blue Jay Invitational on Monday.
The Ospreys senior scored a team-high 24 points, as the Ospreys improved to 7-4. Massaquoi entered the contest needing 16 points to reach the milestone. The senior hit two free throws with 14 minutes, 55 seconds remaining in the game to become the 27th player in school history to reach the career mark.
The Ospreys guard has steadily increased his points per game average from 5.6 points as a freshman to a team-best 16.7 through 11 games this year.

Scoring is not the only asset he brings to the team. In 2009, Massaquoi was voted the New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year. Currently he ranks fifth in scoring and assists (4 a game) and ninth in rebounds (6.5) and steals (1.7) in the NJAC.
