World's No. 1 and Defending ShopRite LPGA Classic Champion Paired Together for Opening Round

Yani Tseng and Brittany Lincicome hit the links at 8:55 a.m.

The No. 1 player in the world and the player who topped the field at last year's ShopRite LPGA Classic are paired together for the opening round of this year's tournament.

Rolex Rankings No. 1 player Yani Tseng and defending ShopRite LPGA Classic champion Brittany Lincicome join Morgan Pressel on the first tee at 8:55 a.m. They will be Group 21, as 144 of the best players gather on the Bay Course at the Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf resort to begin play in the 54-hole, $1.5 million purse tournament that will air live on The Golf Channel.

The day begins at 7:15 a.m., when Tiffany Joh, Mika Miyazato and Courtney Harter tee off on the first hole, and the group of Gerina Piller, Mo Martin and Lizette Salas begin play on the 10th.

Tseng, Lincicome and Pressel will be immediately preceded by Suzann Pettersen, Paula Creamer and Natalie Gulbis, who are scheduled to tee off at 8:45 on the first tee. Lexi Thompson, who made her professional debut at this tournament two years ago, joins Cristie Kerr and Ai Miyazato on the first tee immediately following Tseng, Lincicome and Pressel.

Meghan Stasi, a Voorhees, New Jersey native, joins Cindy LaCrosse and Jennifer Johnson to begin play on the 10th tee beginning at 12:50 p.m. Wayne, New Jersey native Marina Alex joins Becky Morgan and Heather Bowie Young to begin play on the 10th at 1 p.m.

The final groups to begin play consist of Janice Moodie, Jennie Lee and Jennifer Gleason on the first tee, and Mindy Kim, Elisa Serramia and Wendy Doolan on the 10th. Both groups are scheduled to begin play at 1:40 p.m.
