The Beacon Evangelical Free Church was established in 1981 and has been at its present location behind the Galloway Township Municipal Complex since 1985. In 2000, a larger building was added to the church, which is adjacent to the Hope Chest Food Bank. The church community runs the food bank and clothing drives for the homeless.
