Emmaus United Methodist Church is the oldest church in the area, with its origins dating back to 1744. The church purchased land at its current location for $75 and erected its building in 1869. Its former location is now one of the church's two cemeteries. Emmaus is active in the community and hosts a free community luncheon on the third Thursday of every month.
