Galloway Township
609-652-3715
Galloway Township was founded in 1774 by King George III of England, and was originally part of the Old Gloucester County. Galloway is the largest municipality in South Jersey, in terms of area covered, and has a population of over 31,000 people. The township government is made up of a seven-person council, and the mayor is selected by the council members after they are elected. The mayor has no more power than the other members of the council. The day-to-day operations, however, are run by the Township Manager.
