The Galloway Township Fire Department operates out of six stations located throughout the township. The head of the department is the fire chief; it also has an administrative assistant, three fire invesitgators and five independently run fire companies. The current chief is Ron Garbutt.
The fire department works cooperates with fire departments in the surrounding areas, including those in Egg Harbor City, Hamilton Township, Atlantic City and Absecon, among others.
