CRDA Awards Grant to Atlantic Cape Community College for English as a Second Language Program
The program qualified under the Atlantic City Community Development Program.
The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) issued a grant for nearly $50,000 to Atlantic Cape Community College for its English as a Second Language Program, the college announced on Wednesday, Dec. 5. CRDA's grant came in the total of $48,625, Atlantic Cape officials said. The English as a Second Language Program is based out of the Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City campus, which allows the program to qualify under the Atlantic City Community Development Program, according to the college. According to the college, the English as a Second Language Program educates thousands of foreign-born Atlantic City residents and workers each year to be better readers and speakers of English.
