1. Absegami High School Senior Rashad Kinlaw’s future college, Notre Dame, is sending its football team to the BCS Championship Game in Miami tonight. The undefeated and top ranked Fighting Irish will face SEC Champion Alabama (12-1). The Crimson Tide has won two of the last three BCS titles (2009 and 2011). Notre Dame has not won a national title since 1988, although many believe it should have won the 1993 title, having lost just once. Instead, a one-loss Florida State team Notre Dame beat during the regular season won that title. Between them, the programs have won 25 national championships.
